“I am delighted to hear that Buckland is starting to produce its own Community Led Plan. Such local initiatives are to be welcomed as they create a forum for people to come together and express their views on a whole range of matters which affect their lives.
Obviously, as Buckland’s County Councillor, I do my best to listen and facilitate the needs and wishes of residents who live in the village. I cannot promise to address specific problems that the plan may identify but think they may help us invaluable guidance as to the views of the community and enable us to make better informed decisions together.
I do hope that you make use of this opportunity to engage in constructive debate with the aim of benefitting the local community.”
As Bethia makes clear, the CLP is no guarantee of remedies but it is an opportunity for us to state the views of the community for consideration on future occasions.
