It would be great to make use of the space that currently houses the old swimming pool.
Initial ideas that spring to mind
- Community shop (as mentioned by Mannie already)
- Office desk setup (to be hired by those who work from home)
- Function room as an addition to the village hall
- Small gym
- Refurb and reopening of pool.
It’s difficult to see a practical use for the old swimming pool building. A cafe or a shop would require volunteers and it’s hard to see how enough people could be found, from a relatively small community, to staff such an enterprise. We know the building contains asbestos and will, in the absence of a scheme necessitating its development, require demolition.
