Planning for the future

Which way for Buckland?

Give your views in the Buckland Community-Led Plan.

A Community-Led Plan (CLP) is a a recognised means by which communities can express their views upon a range of subjects that have a bearing upon their lives. In its final form, whilst it is not a legally binding report, it provides valuable guidance to County, District and Parish Councils as to the views of the parish community.

This forum is intended to give all of us living in the parish of Buckland the opportunity to make comments and suggestions about all aspects of life in our lovely village and its surrounds. Hopefully, it will encourage us all to think about ways in which we could improve and strengthen our community and also enable like-minded people to join together to further their common interests.

So please join the forum which will be online until KOMING when it will be closed to further comments to enable the steering committee to collate the views expressed. These views will then be published online for all to consider and after a suitable period for reflection, a day will be arranged when we can all meet in the village hall and make further comment. These further comments will then be incorporated into the initial report, which taken together, will then be published and circulated to the relevant authorities.

The whole process will take about six months and we urge you to take this opportunity to express your views and hopefully stimulate a thoughtful debate about our community and ways in which it can be strengthened.

We would like to express our thanks for the funding provided by the John Southby Charity to enable this process, the support of the Buckland Parish Council for this initiative, to Radu Rizea who has created the website and last, but not least, the Buckland Woman’s Institute who delivered an explanatory leaflet to every household in the parish.
